The primary river we float is the Rio Grande, or the Rio Bravo del Norte depending on what bank you are standing on. Beginning in south-central Colorado and emptying into the Gulf of Mexico in Boca Chica, the mighty muddy Rio Grande meanders through the Chihuahuan Desert in far west Texas carving a series of incredible canyons and exposing paddlers to some of the most strikingly beautiful landscapes that the Big Bend has to offer. 

Far West Texas Outfitters is a small company based out of Presidio Texas. Formed by veteran Big Bend river guides, our aim is to provide an enhanced and intimate experience by catering to small groups.
