FLY FISHING AND LIGHT-TACKLE TRIPS

 The Rio Grande may be a silty river most of the year but it’s far west Texas tributaries are limestone bed and gin-clear. The Devils River and the Lower Pecos River are some of the most beautiful and remote destinations for bass fishing in the state of Texas and they host trophy small-mouth bass among other freshwater sport fish. We like to customize the experience by offering a few different ways to explore these waters, be it from a rowed fishing raft or a several-day canoe trip. Down-stream Devils River canoe trips are typically done in 4-6 days and the permitting  and logistics involved require advanced notice and commitment.  12 permits a day become available 5 months prior to the trip, so advanced booking is encouraged. The lower Pecos river is a minimum 6 day trip.   The nuances and details of these trips are best discussed over the phone.  

Both the Devils and Pecos rivers can be fished and paddled year round however spring and fall are ideal. Summer is quite comfortable (for Texas summer) on the Devils due to the plentiful shade on its island camps.

$350 per person for a day float. $275 per person per day for a multi day expedition. Meals, rods, flies/lures and an expert guide always included. (tax included)
